This year we crowned a first time winner, For Diamond's Sake - Dow and Friends. They led from the first lap and didn't take their foot off the gas pedal. Congratulations to Shell We Take This Too Serious and Sharpstown Apollos for rounding up the top 3.
This year, the race was happy to have Cigna Healthcare as a title sponsor and Nalco Water as our medals sponsor. Everyone, including volunteers, got a medal this year

The Sharpstown Apollos showed up once again with a vengeance. After starting at a blistering pace and looking like they would beat their own WORLD RECORD, the team fell off pace eventually finishing at the second fastest time recorded at the event at 2:16:23. Shell We Take This Too Serious and S&P Some Like it Fast rounded up second and third place.
This was a big year collaborative teams. Thank for everyone who made the event a success!

The 2021 Harvest Marathon Relay was back in person with a remote option. It was unusual finish to the Competitive Races. Teams from Shell have had the fastest times since the race began. Today, the team from INEOS challenged. The result was amazing, The INEOS team exactly matched the World Record Time set by Shell in 2019. Congrats to Shell We Don't Take This To Serious and Sharpstown High School for finisihng under 2:25.

The 2020 Harvest Marathon Relay was all about creating a remote, real-time, competitive event during a pandemic. It was absolute chaos behind the scenes. With a lot of help and support, the 2020 Harvest Marathon Relay was a success, both in that we had a race that felt like a real event during an pandemic and that the Houston Food Bank benefited from the Event's support. The Shell Fast and Furious Team posted a time of 2:52 to lead all teams.
What a great year supporting the Houston Food Bank. Thank you.

This first ever Harvest Marathon Relay was held on October 1, 2017 at Clements High School in Sugar Land, TX. The race had Small Teams (10 or less) and Large Teams (up to 25 people). It was amazing how fast teams realized that STRATEGY matters. Shell We This Too Serious had the fastest time at 2:45. The Small Team fastest time was from Running For Serotonin at 2:59, and late-entry Japan Stands For Houston was that fastest Large Team finishing with a time of 2:58.
