The 2020 Harvest Marathon is complete. Thanks to the team who competed in this multi-location, socially distanced, real time, competitive race.
The Harvest Marathon Relay is a 26.2-mile timed team running event. Due to the current COVD-19 situation, the 2020 Harvest Marathon Relay will be a multi-location, social distanced, multi-location, competitive event.
When: The race will start at 7:00 AM on November 8, 2020. Teams will have 3-hours to complete the event.
Where: Teams can run wherever and whenever they chose, as long as it is between 7:00 and 11:00 central standard time on the day of the race. There are no limitations as to how many team members can run at any given time.
How: Time and distance for each team member will be tracked using an app provided by our official timer. Individual results will be consolidated into a team resolution. As soon as the cumulative mileage for the team reaches 26.2 miles, then the team is deemed to have completed the event and will have an official time. The app allows you to track your team performance in real time, and track other teams.
What: The big difference this year is that each participant will be able to run only one segment, i.e., once a participant stops their app, they will not be able to restart it and post an additional time.
A note to the Competitive teams:
STRATEGY IS IMPORTANT!
