The Harvest Marathon Relay is a 26.2-mile timed team running event.
When: November 1, 2026
Collaborative Teams: Start at 7:00 a.m. at Rice University with a 4-hour time limit.
Competitive Teams: Start at 8:00 a.m. at Rice University with a 3-hour time limit.
World Record Attempt Team: Start at 8:00 a.m. at Rice University with a 2:04:32 time limit.

STRATEGY IS IMPORTANT!

The Harvest Marathon Relay for the benefit of the Houston Food Bank will be on November 2, 2025. The race starts at 7 a.m. at Rice University in Houston.
Collaborative Teams or fun teams can have as many as 25 people running. They have a 4-hour time limit and can participate in sabotages.
Competitive Teams are limited to 10 runners. They have a 3-hour time limit and compete for medals designed by two-time Boston Marathon winner, Geoff Smith, with the first place team taking home a commemorative trophy hand made by Creative Cow Rustics.
In 2022, the Sharpstown Apollos won their first ever Harvest Marathon Relay, finishing with a WORLD RECORD time of 2:14:55. They bested the previous world record time of 2:17:21 set by Shell We Take This Too Serious in 2019 and tied by INEOS in 2021.
In 2026, we will have a World Record Attempt Team that will try to break the current Guinness World Record for a marathon relay of 2 hours, 4 minutes and 32 seconds. We will keep you posted as the event develops.

Happy Anniversary!
As we celebrate 10-years of the Harvest Marathon Relay, this year will be special. We will attempt to break the Guinness World Record for a marathon relay. We will have more teams and more participants than ever. And, we will make a lasting impact on the Houston community.

Welcome to the first annual Harvest Marathon Relay. The inaugural event was held at Clements High School in Sugar Land. The Shell team finished first with a time of 2:45.

Welcome to the second annual Harvest Marathon Relay at Rice University. This year's winner, Shell - We take this too serious, finished the race in 2:24:11. They were followed by Sharpstown High School and Dow Team 2, both finishing under two and a half hours.
